Privacy Policy

Introduction

Super Speech LTD recognises and operates in compliance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and as such has outlined a copy of our current privacy policy as of November 2nd 2025. This policy covers the collection and use of your personal information. This information is considered personally identifiable, which means that it can be used to identify you.

Our privacy policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights which you may exercise as set out in the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Should you wish to review privacy legislation, we have included links to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, as well as information about the legislation from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, at the end of this page.

We collect personal information about you from:

  • you directly

    • sources from you include personal information provided to us through the contact forms on our webpage, any correspondence you have with us (i.e., email, telephone, written, verbal exchanges), client intake forms.

  • third parties

    • third party sources include other services that you have authorised the disclosure of your personal information to Super Speech LTD with, and publicly available information.

We collect personal information, including information about your:

  • name

  • contact information

  • location

  • computer or network

  • interactions with us

We collect your personal information in order to:

  • help develop, plan and deliver our services to you

  • record advice that we provide to you

  • identify and contact you

  • provide you with information about our products and services

  • respond to your requests and other queries

  • provide administration and billing for client accounts

  • provide continuity of care with other services as needed (with prior consultation and authority from you)

  • conduct analysis on service traffic and us

  • protect our legal rights and interests

Besides our staff, we share this information with:

  • other healthcare providers in order to make referrals onto other services where needed, this will only be done after discussion with you and if we have received authority/consent from the client to do so.

  • any business or person who provides administrative and/or IT business services that support the operation of business.

Providing some information is optional, however:

  • If you choose not to provide location information, we'll be unable to provide you with in-person services.

  • If you choose not to provide us with a digital means of communication (i.e., email address), we may be unable to conduct some forms of telehealth service delivery.

  • If you choose not to give consent for an external referral to be made, we'll be unable to provide a full spectrum support plan if this was deemed to be helpful for your therapy journey.

Storage and Handling:

  • We keep your information safe by storing this on a secure computer system and only allowing staff involved with Super Speech LTD access to it.

  • We keep your information for 2 years from the last time we have provided services to you, as we recognise some people choose to return after ceasing services. After this period of time we securely destroy it by securely erasing any digital copies held.

  • You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at privacy@superspeech.co.nz
